4 Days Before Departure...

As the time of departure quickly approaches, I grow in anticipation and curiosity. While I can continue to write about my current feelings, I feel the need to clarify the title of this blog "Spying the Land." We all know that it is in conjunction with Moses sending spies into the Promise Land in the book of Numbers fount in the Old Testament. The spies returned and the majority returned discouraged because there were giants in the land that they were promised to abide in. They brought back a report filled with doubt, so much that they compared themselves to grasshoppers while the inhabitants of the Promise Land were giants.
But, out of the majority there were at least 2 spies that returned, 1 being Caleb, that returned with a good report filled with faith in the One, True, and Living God! At which point, Caleb acknowledged that giants were in the land, but stated "We are well able to overcome it." He definitely spoke of a natural battle, if then natural, how can I use this event in my future endeavors? A valid question one may ask. Do I plan to physically engage in a battle with the Tunisian inhabitants? Am I "spying the land" to forcefully and violently overtake them? Am I equipping myself with a literal sword to do warfare? God forbids it.
By no means do I (we) intend to overcome them physically. Although Caleb was speaking of a physical fight, we know that WE do not wrestle against flesh and blood (Eph 6:12). There is a spiritual fight that I must take up in Tunisia. One that will free the minds and hearts of the Tunisians to see and accept the grace of God extended by Christ Jesus our LORD! We are exhorted in the scriptures to "pull down strongholds" that exist in the minds of people (2 Cor 10:4). We know that the "god of this world" has blinded the minds and hearts of people with lies, so Truth must be brought to the Tunisians (2 Cor4:4) I am soldier in God's army, I am an ambassador from God's Kingdom, my mission is clear!
I spy the land now, my report is already set "we are well able to overcome" the demonic strongholds, lies, and deception present in the minds and hearts of the Tunisian inhabitants... The population is 98% Islam/98% Against Christ/ 98% AntiChrist--- Spiritual warfare is inevitable. The next post will be abroad...
My brothers and sisters on the home front, continue to spread the Gospel...
